Debit card from VISA. German banks have been issuing Vpay cards to their customers since 2005, often in combination with the Girocard. VISA has been gradually switching to the new VISA Debit brand since 2022. These cards are increasingly offered not as a co-badge but as an alternative to the Girocard and require an acceptance agreement with a VISA merchant bank acquirer).
