On the online platform flyair41.de, air41 handles the sale of remaining seats and additional services on behalf of airlines. Secupay ensures secure and convenient credit card payments.
The challenge
The Berlin-based IT service provider Air41 supports small and medium-sized airlines and tour operators throughout Europe with efficient solutions for the digital sale of tickets and services. On the online platform flyair41.de, end customers can book flights and additional services directly. For this, the company needs a secure, international payment option. Customers who book repeatedly via the platform should also be able to complete the purchase conveniently with as little input as possible. Easy reversal of booking payments was also a key requirement of the travel provider.
The solution and cooperation
secupay handles the PSD2-compliant processing of credit card payments for AIR41 in accordance with the Payment Card Industry's international standards for data security (PCI-DSS standards). Via the secuconnect interface, an ID with structured payment data is generated and assigned to the customer when the first credit card payment is made. For subsequent purchases, customers are recognized and can complete the booking without re-entering their payment data via one-click payment. The amount due is usually debited from the account and transferred to the respective airline only after the service has been rendered. If a booked service cannot be used, e.g. due to a flight cancellation, AIR41 initiates the cancellation via the secuOffice web portal. secupay then pays out the credits automatically.
