Smart Reimbursement for Charging Processes: secupay Enables Payment Splitting for Phoenix Contact Smart
Customer
Cooperation
The challenge
Phoenix Contact Smart Business offers Charge Repay, a cloud-based e-mobility service that supports companies in settling private charging costs for electric company vehicles. When employees charge their company EVs at home, Phoenix Contact Smart Business, on behalf of fleet operators, handles the reimbursement of electricity costs. To ensure an automated, legally compliant, and efficient settlement of these individual payments, the company needed a reliable payment service provider with a ZAG license.
The solution and cooperation
secupay took on the technical and procedural implementation of this complex payment model:
- Fleet operators transfer a total amount to secupay, which is then divided among individual employees.
- Phoenix provides the allocation key—precisely calculated based on reimbursement amounts derived from electricity
prices and charging volumes. - secupay processes the automated payouts according to the provided split, in a legally secure and fully transparent manner via the secuOffice online portal.
The result: a scalable and efficient solution that saves effort and builds trust.
“With secupay’s payment splitting, we offer our customers a simple and smart solution for modern mobility—without any additional effort.“ Anton Schönenberg, Product Owner
