A warm welcome: Careers at secupay AG

I have been working in the marketing department at secupay AG since 2022. I am primarily responsible for reputation marketing, content generation as well as the optimization and the maintenance of the content and design of the website. This also includes finding and implementing measures to improve the image of our corporate brand. I enjoy working with my team and other colleagues. I can always rely on the support of my colleagues - regardless of whether I'm working from my home office or in the modern office on site. Another great advantage is our short decision-making path and our network structure. This gives everyone the opportunity to work independently and to develop professionally and personally. Since the market in our industry is constantly pulsating, hardly any task is the same as another. This enables a lot of creativity and variety.

After more than 10 years in the public sector, I was drawn to secupay. I have now been responsible for developing software for our payment terminals and their apps since 2019. Due to goal-oriented work during the Scrum process, we can achieve new milestones time and again in short intervals, which makes the development process so very dynamic. Thanks to the option of working from home, you can be flexible and choose between working in the modern offices or at home, depending on your private needs. In general, it always pleases me to see how much I’m valued by colleagues and superiors in the company, which makes for a really pleasant and collegial working atmosphere. I look forward to mastering new and interesting challenges every day.

I have been with secupay AG since 2010. The special thing about the group is that employees can express wishes for their work area and also have the opportunity to take responsibility for the same. On the one hand, I was able to try my hand in various areas and benefit from the constantly growing knowledge about our business. Of course, this also benefits me in my current areas of work as a member of backoffice and banking components. At the same time, I was and still am able to pursue work with a lot of variety – including thanks to the versatility of our customers and the constantly growing product range. Collaborating within my team as well as across teams is always pleasant and uncomplicated. Existing tasks are optimized jointly so that often completely new tasks and work areas can be added in the process.

I have been working in Controlling at secupay AG since 2016. In addition to data analysis, I am involved with balance sheet accounting and technical banking in several areas of finance. In addition, my activities include administering our ticket system or connecting and supporting our service providers. Our network structure allows me to have a variety of impact points, which I find enriching for both employees and employers due to the opportunity to develop multiple skills and the work that is more network-based through changing teams. With workflows and prioritization rounds fixed in the system at different altitudes, it is quite possible to omit complex hierarchical structures. This puts higher demands on self-organization as well as teams’ responsibility, which I see as a guarantee that decisions are made in the right places and that I, as an individual, do not get stuck in 'business as usual'.

I joined the company in April 2010 and am responsible for technical onboarding and support for our key accounts. Thanks to the component system used in the company, each employee can make decisions independently, clarify them through various channels and also implement them. However, decisions are often discussed equally within the team and usually do not require a long decision-making chain. Since our company has a very broad field of business, development opportunities are always available. You can always develop further and take on new tasks, so I have already been able to get to know some areas and take on new tasks and activities accordingly.

I have been working for the technical component of secupay AG since 2009. In addition to telephone support for dealers and cooperation partners, our tasks include testing, mass updates, card printing, and hardware and device replacement. During this time, I have not only seen many EC terminals come and go. I have also grown with the tasks and challenges within our component and ticket system and am now responsible for developing and implementing these and other topics as a component owner. What is special about this is that the work overlaps with other components and colleagues. The wide range of tasks and the fact that there is never any standstill on the market ensure constant variety and new opportunities for continuous further training – including through internal training courses. The consistency within the team has also enabled friendships to be built that extend far beyond colleague status.

I have been part of the secupay team since 01.09.2019, and am completing my training as an e-commerce merchant. As part of this, I rotate between various components and get to know the individual areas of responsibility. I particularly appreciate the harmonious teamwork and the employees’ expertise, which makes me feel well equipped for my training and allows me to gain both knowledge and experience.
