The challenge
Money-back campaigns are a popular marketing tool. However, depending on the setup, the execution of the payments in many cases represents a permission- requiring financial transfer transaction in accordance with the Payment Services Supervision Act (ZAG). Violations of the ZAG can be punished with severe fines by the state financial supervisory authority BaFin.
