The challenge
The crowdinvesting platform VR-Crowd offers investors the chance to invest in regional projects with attractive return opportunities, even with small investment amounts. Project sponsors use the "swarm" to tap into an additional source of funding with particular customer loyalty potential. For small-scale digital capital raising to be a success, the multitude of deposits and withdrawals must be handled in a legally secure, correct and trouble-free manner.
The solution and cooperation
As a certified payment service provider, secupay supports the crowdinvesting platform vr-crowd.de in all project phases, starting with the web-based onboarding of new projects and investors, to the collection of investment amounts and the processing of interest and redemption payments. Investment amounts can be deposited by bank transfer. The capital is held by secupay in an insolvency-proof escrow account until the project begins. If the specified amount is raised successfully, secupay pays out the money to the project sponsor in one lump sum after receiving instructions. If the required minimum amount is not collected, investors receive their capital back immediately. If the financing is successful, secupay takes over the scheduled payment of interest and redemption amounts to all investors upon instruction.
